Água Mãe (2025)

Mértola, situated along the Guadiana River, is known for its historic watermills that were used for milling flour. The area supports diverse birdlife and offers a tranquil environment for visitors. Fishing boats navigate the river, and fish can often be seen jumping. The tides of the river create a dynamic atmosphere, with daily changes in the water's color and the surrounding landscape throughout the seasons. Additionally, Manuela Barros Ferreira contributed a written piece titled 'Soul', prompting reflection on the reasons behind our fascination with the river.
